Walking with Purpose is on a mission to help all Catholic women and girls encounter Jesus Christ personally by teaching them to read Scripture and apply it to their everyday lives through Bible study. This encounter is accelerated when it is experienced in small group communities.

To further this mission, women who are military spouses or active duty military are now eligible for free WWP Bible study guides and coach support at their bases. The Kate W. McDonald Memorial Military Scholarship—Hope in the Trenches celebrates, strengthens, and rewards military spouses or active duty military women.

At Walking with Purpose:

  • We aspire to create communities for women who are military spouses or active duty to come as you are, to connect to the faith in your hearts, and to build a community of sisters where you have been planted.
  • We specialize in training women to run small groups with the help of a ministry coach—free of charge.
  • Our communities create a safe and non-judgmental space for women to share experiences and support one another in growing in virtue.
  • Our studies enable you to develop and deepen your personal relationship with Christ that will impact all areas of your life, including your role as an active duty military member or spouse.

Honoring
Kate
McDonald

In honor of the legacy of heartfelt devotion, kindness, and genuine connection left by Kate, her parents, Peggy and John Wilckens, have created The Kate W. McDonald Memorial Military Scholarship—Hope in the Trenches. It is their hope that Kate continues to be a source of inspiration to military spouses stationed around the globe. Because of their generous donation, women who are military spouses or active duty military are now eligible for complimentary WWP Bible study guides and coach support at their bases.

"Kate taught me countless ways to be a friend, and that has been a universal thread that everyone who’s known her has spoken over and over. She understood the hardships of being a military spouse and mother and knew how to show up for each person individually."
