STRONG YET TENDER by Lisa Brenninkmeyer
Building Resilience in an Age of Trauma
Are you tired of feeling untethered and overwhelmed?
Most of our families are experiencing anxiety, woundedness, and stress. Honest conversations with friends and today’s headlines make it clear that wherever we turn, examples of difficulties abound. Rates of depression, anxiety, loneliness, and alcohol consumption are mounting among women. It appears that our ability to cope, to rise above, is lessening.
But that does not need to be your story, or the story of your daughters. It is possible to be strong despite the most challenging circumstances. Trauma does not have the last word. This is God’s promise to you and yours in Isaiah 43:2, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
Yes, your life is wild and messy, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to go under. Come join us and see how, through God’s help, you can build resilience in an age of trauma.
