Role Overview

The Supply Planning Manager at WWP is responsible for the production, printing, inventory and delivery of WWP products. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this supply chain leader has proven production and delivery experience and thrives in high growth environments. The ideal candidate is ready to lead all aspects of the day to day product delivery function for a thriving non-profit ministry with confidence and experience.

Ideally our Supply Planning Manager lives in the New York Metro market and is productive working from home and via video conferencing. He or she is experienced at working effectively in a growth environment collaborating across the team to strengthen processes while effectively creating new growth recommendations.  This manager is smart, resourceful, an out-of-the-box thinker, who loves and appreciates working on a successful team and the unique role that she/he plays on that team.  Some local travel to meet with team will be required.

The ideal candidate has been a participant in a Walking with Purpose study and is seeking to leverage his/her professional skills toward the support and growth of the ministry.

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years supply chain experience
  • Product production experience with stellar project management skills
  • Fulfillment and transportation experience with an understanding of shipping fees, rates and services
  • Ecommerce experience a plus with fulfillment by Amazon knowledge ideal
  • Ability to leverage technology to drive efficiency and growth
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally
  • Strong analytical skills and reasoning
  • A. or B.S. in business, MBA a plus

Core Responsibilities

The Supply Planning Manager has two (2) core responsibilities:

Product Production

Create forecasts, production plans and delivery timelines for core product line including WWP program publications, program kits for BLAZE, parish programming support aides and promotional materials, including marketing materials such as sample booklets, pop-up banners, promotional cards, bookmarks and special event products.

As the key product production and inventory owner, the Supply Chain Manager will manage version control for reprints and revisions.  The WWP team will look to this supply chain expert for insight into annual planning as it through the production lens.

Product Delivery

Based upon their skilled forecasts and planning, the Supply Chain Manager will deliver WWP finished goods on-time to fulfillment providers, including digital downloads.  He or she will manage print timelines with launch inventory levels according to product launch dates.  The maintenance of optimal inventory levels of all program materials delivered with cost and time efficiency is essential across all inventory stores (Amazon, Five Stones in Chicago, WWP Florida office and NY Metro storage unit).  Finally, this leader will be asked to identify an inventory management system to support WWP’s rapid growth (i.e. AirTable).
