Role Overview

The Content Production team is seeking a talented, energetic and creative professional to fill the role of Graphic Designer and/or Book Layout Design. This is a contracted, project-based position.

This self-driven, creative individual will collaborate with the WWP Production Manager to work through various cycles of development, incorporating input from the author, copy editor, marketing department, participant relations, and TQM review, and seeing projects from ideation through to production.

The ideal candidate is conscious of brand style guidelines, has a high degree of initiative, an eye for detail, and possesses strong creative and technical skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines and handle multiple projects at once. The candidate would be able to identify and communicate with the look and feel of a woman’s style preferences.

Work product should be available to use across different media, including print, web, e-communications and social media.

  • Core responsibility is to design, format and typeset the interiors and covers for all WWP Bible study books in three differently branded market segments.
  • Book Production, Flyers, Banners, Notecards, Supplementing Print Materials
  • Website compatible for communications and sales
  • Create designs that are consistent with our brand style guidelines
  • Be accountable for brand consistency across campaigns and assets, including formatting and enhancing books, designing print and digital signage, event collateral, social media assets, custom promotional items, banners and specialty print items.
  • Ensure deliverables follow project timelines, adhere to quality standards and meet deadlines
  • Source and edit all files into DropBox WWP Master account.
  • Liaise with book manufacturer for metric adherence as needed.

Experience and Skillset

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in graphic design with a focus on creating visual assets for print, digital and social media in a professional services environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in book design and printed page format and layout
  • Results-oriented with superior attention to detail, accuracy and quality assurance
  • Works well independently and as part of a cross-functional team, and has a strong client-service mentality
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud
    • (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
  • Advanced MS Office Suite
    • (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Saving work in both RGB and CMYK formats for use in print and digitally
  • Work with images and text—4 Color, Greyscale, and Black & White
  • DropBox filing and storage into 1) Development Files and 2) Final files into WWP Master Filing System
  • Limited interface with printing press for book manufacturing technical requirements
    • Capable of setting up Adobe/Acrobat presets in PDF format prior to pre-press submissions
  • Ability to learn, and an interest in continuously learning and keeping abreast of new technology, products and tools related to Graphic Design, and Book Layout Techniques
