101 Opening Your Heart

Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point is our foundation Bible study, and we recommend all participants new to Walking with Purpose begin here, regardless of previous experience with Bible study. We encourage everyone to experience Opening Your Heart because we believe this Bible study is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart. Join us as we take a deeper dive into the core questions that we need to wrestle with if we want to experience all that God has for us.

Some of the questions we’ll explore:

  • How can I conquer my fears?
  • What is the role of the Holy Spirit in my life?
  • What does the Eucharist have to do with my friendship with Christ?
  • What are the limits of Christ’s forgiveness?
  • Why and how should I pray?
  • What is the role of suffering in my life?
  • What challenges will I face in my efforts to follow Jesus more closely?

Walking with Purpose study materials are fresh, relevant, and make the truths of Scripture applicable for day-to-day living. Ideal for parish programs, small groups in homes or schools, and individual study, these materials give you all you need to encounter Christ personally through the pages of the Bible.

We recommend everyone begin with Opening Your Heart, our foundational course, regardless of past Bible study experience. From there, WWP offers more advanced studies to choose from, varying in length and intensity.

If you attend WWP as a part of a parish program, you’ll meet weekly either to discuss the lesson or watch an inspirational video at a Connect Coffee. Classes meet for about 90 minutes weekly, usually beginning in September and ending in April. Most programs schedule breaks around holidays to coincide with local school calendars, and many programs offer childcare. Click here to find a parish program near you

“At WWP, I am learning a lot about things in the Bible I have wondered about and learning a great deal more about things I have never thought about. When I initially signed up, I thought that it might be a little boring or dry. But I love the enthusiasm that my small group leaders bring to each meeting.”
