501 Discovering Our Dignity

Discovering our Dignity gives us modern-day advice from women of the Bible.

Ancient wisdom, sage advice, sorrowful failures and woundedness…

In Discovering our Dignity, we learn that women of the Old and New Testament were sometimes as flawed and broken as we can be. Yet, the power of God worked in their lives.

Through their stories recorded in Scripture, they reach out to touch our “present” in a tender, honest and loving way – woman to woman.

Please note:  We recommend that all participants new to Walking with Purpose begin study with our foundational course, Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point , regardless of previous Bible study experience. We believe this 22-session course is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart. All WWP parish-based programs should offer Opening Your Heart each season in addition to any advanced WWP studies offered.

601 Beholding His Glory

Beholding His Glory, a nine-lesson course, shows us how all Scripture points us to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. As we look at Old Testament people and events, we’ll encounter problems that only Christ will solve, needs that only He will satisfy, and promises that only He can deliver. We’ll learn to recognize and appreciate God’s plan for our own lives, His awe-inspiring majesty, and His desire for personal intimacy with each one of us. A series of three DVDs, which includes supplemental talks for selected lessons in the study guide, accompanies the Bible study. This is the first part of a two-part series and is ideally followed by part two, Beholding Your King.

602 Beholding Your King

Beholding Your King, a nine-lesson Bible study, is the second part of a two-part series and is ideally completed after Beholding His Glory.

We live in a self-centered culture that all too often leaves us feeling empty and dissatisfied. A fuller view of God and His glory is the perfect antidote to this, and Beholding Your King delivers that fresh perspective. Picking up where Beholding His Glory leaves off, the story of salvation history is continued. We’ll look at King David, select psalms, the temple, and many Old Testament prophets and see the ways in which they all point to the coming King of kings, Jesus Christ. A series of three DVDs, which includes supplemental talks for selected lessons in the study guide, accompanies the Bible study (order separately)..

Walking with Purpose study materials are fresh, relevant, and make the truths of Scripture applicable for day-to-day living. Ideal for parish programs, small groups in homes or schools, and individual study, these materials give you all you need to encounter Christ personally through the pages of the Bible.

We recommend everyone begin with Opening Your Heart, our foundational course, regardless of past Bible study experience. From there, WWP offers more advanced studies to choose from, varying in length and intensity.

If you attend WWP as a part of a parish program, you’ll meet weekly either to discuss the lesson or watch an inspirational video at a Connect Coffee. Classes meet for about 90 minutes weekly, usually beginning in September and ending in April. Most programs schedule breaks around holidays to coincide with local school calendars, and many programs offer childcare. Click here to find a parish program near you

“Walking with Purpose has built a stronger community in our church.”

- Participant at Church of the Good Shepherd in Cumming, GA

“At WWP, I am learning a lot about things in the Bible I have wondered about and learning a great deal more about things I have never thought about. When I initially signed up, I thought that it might be a little boring or dry. But I love the enthusiasm that my small group leaders bring to each meeting.”
